Mommy Corner Monday: Halloween Edition

Welcome to this edition of Mommy Corner Monday! Happy Halloween! Here's some tips to have fun and be safe while out with the kiddos trick or treating tonight!

Dress the kids for the weather. If you don't check the weather any other day please do so today. You wouldn't want your babies out there in cold without proper clothing.

Don't forget to check the kids candy. Check all pieces of candy before letting your child eat it to make sure it wasn't tampered with by anyone.

Don't eat any candy that has been opened or altered. Any candy that looks like it has been altered or opened please throw it away. Safety first!

Remember curfews are in effect so if you're sending your kids out make sure they are with a legal responsible adult. The curfew for minors without an adult is 6 pm so if you're not accompanied by a legal adult you can be picked up by the police and/or fined.

When walking door to door be mindful of your surroundings: You never know what may be lurking around the corner and not everyone is out to have a good time this evening. So, make sure you're paying attention.

Only trick or treat at house with lit porch lights: Well, here in Michigan that's the rule of thumb. Houses with lit porch lights signifies they are passing out candy and welcoming guests. No lights no go!

Be safe and have fun! Happy Halloween! Until next time loves!
