Hotel Metro Review

Just like I promised a video for Travel Tuesdays! It's a review of our stay when we went to London, Canada. Hotel Metro is a boutique hotel, that has 4 floors, 7 rooms on each floor. The lobby was beautifully decorated and I loved the little touches they had like the ramp for your luggage and the complimentary infused water. The fruit infused water was different every day.

We went to London to celebrate our friend Frazier's birthday. Our friends stayed in the King Suite, it was a large spacious room, with a chair, flat screen TV, desk, large ottoman at the foot of the bed, coffee area, that had a jetted, soaker tub, rain shower, and a separate private toilet. Their room had a view of the outside where you could see the festival going on out front. Since, it was Frazier's birthday they gave him a complimentary bottle of wine.

Sly and I stayed in the Queen Suite. The Queen Suite had a couch, desk, flat screen TV, refrigerator, and coffee bar. The bath room had a rain head shower, toilet, and sink. The Queen Suite had a view of the atrium. I did like how the tv could pivot so you can watch TV from the bed or the couch depending on where you were sitting even though we didn't watch any TV! I liked our room a lot better than the king suite because our room had a couch.  Our room became the meeting spot because we had the extra seating space and we were closer to the elevator. The King Suite was definitely more luxury than our Queen Suite.

The hotel had a bar and lounge that had reasonable hours for almost any time of the day if you wanted to get a drink or a bite to eat. The hotel did have a outdoor patio which was on the back of the hotel. I did like how it had the outdoor space where you could sit and watch the people walk by while you enjoyed a drink, a meal, or each others company. We didn't have a chance to make it to the atrium due to having some renovations going on. From our view from the room it looked like a good space to lounge or hold an event.

I definitely loved our stay there and wouldn't mind staying there again when the next time we ever decide to go back to London, Ontario.

Can we talk for a second? So, I just so happened to be on  Pinterest  and this picture of a lip balm crossed my screen. It was the  Shea Moisture Shea Butter Vegan Lip Balm  in Coconut & Hibiscus and African Water Mint & Ginger. Pause. I must get it... both flavors... I then check on Target & Walmart to see if I can get it in store. Yes, I can. I purchased it from my local Walmart and couldn't be any happier. Open it up apply it to my lips. What is that smell? Shea Moisture is always my go to, my wishlist, my it gets me every time Walgreen's has a bogo sale. But, here me out for a second. Hello July: Well Wishes and Thoughts

Hello July and loves, I hope everything is well and July is being the best to you. We have officially made it through two birthdays and 4th of July. Bash's birthday was a success. Everyone had a good time. We were able to celebrate Sly's birthday with a impromptu BBQ. I'm a little disappointed that he had to cook on his birthday and not to mention I wasn't able to be much help because I had to work. We were able to enjoy everyone's company in coming together to celebrate life's moments and make memories. We literally drank for 5 days straight! Talk about a good time! Fourth of July was good because I got to see it through the eyes of my son who was finally old enough to see fireworks. He truly enjoyed it and I enjoyed seeing the excitement he had seeing them. Hello September

Hey Loves,  I do hope that everything is well with you all.  I hope your September is starting out well and your August ended the way you needed it to. August for me was definitely a very busy month. It started with a world wind of things going on. We were able to see and spend time with family which is always plus in my book and travel. Stories about that to come later. The start of September has been productive. I've started to throw things away and clean my house trying to prepare for the winter months to come. I'm not ready for it to get cold but it's coming. We celebrate my brother and nieces birthday. I was even enlisted to make Jell-O shots. That will be up on the channel for Cocktail Friday's this month. I'm glad Mercury is out of retrograde because maybe now I can get some things accomplished. For a brief period of time I felt like I couldn't complete anything.
