Brussels 2017

After leaving Amsterdam we took a train to Brussels. We made it there later in the afternoon because we missed our preferred time for the train. We made it all the way to the station, to the track, where the train was at to press the button for the door not to open, for it to leave. We arrived in Brussels and walked from the train station taking in the sights of the city to our Air BnB apartment. We asked our host what was a good place to eat around here. She suggested we try this French restaurant for a nice meal. Once, settled we made our way to the restaurant. We made our way in and walk right past the maitre d not knowing who he was because he was talking to people. He stops us by calling to us in French and later in the English then later seats us. He brought us the menus and they were in French. We didn't sit long before the maite d came back stating that the only menus they had were in French and saying that he'll help us out by telling what they offered and we could make our mind up from there on what we wanted to order. I ordered salmon and Sly ordered beef which was served with french fries. We weren't looking for a nice dinner on our first night due to all the traveling but we did enjoy our meal.

Everything there closed early, which caused us to stay in relax and have a movie night. Everything was more laid and relaxed there in Brussels than Amsterdam. In Brussels, they like a good sit down meal, with good company, and good food. It made us happy that we did Amsterdam first and Brussels last. We got the hustle and bustle out with the first city to end the trip with a little R & R.

We walked a good portion of Brussels our second day sightseeing. We walked from our apartment to see Manneken Pis, Zinneke Pis, Jeanneke Pis.

On the way to see Zinneke Pis the female version we walked into an area where the buildings were covered in gold. There was people setting up for a music festival and we saw the Belgium Beer Museum. It was $5 euro to do a tour. We took a tour which was watching a video and getting a free beer afterwards. The beer was delicious! It tasted just like berries. I had never tasted anything like that in my entire life.

I wanted to go the Grand Palace. We made it there and took a picture of it and never made it inside for a tour. I guess that's something for us to do when we return.

Until next time loves!

I ended up taking so many pictures that I had to break the video up into two parts. Of course I added the videos for you view pleasure.
