Brooklyn Sky Sugar Scrub Review

I happened to be on Spence Taylor’s live and he was talking about this woman he met at Essence Fest. He spoke about how they hit it off and became friends. He found out that she owned a body care brand when she stated that he needed to give her products a try. He said how he loved her products and would get complimented on his smell after using them. They had teamed up to do a giveaway of one of her new products that was launching soon. One winner from Facebook and one winner from Instagram. I followed the instructions and entered to win. Let me tell you I was not expecting to win until she said my name on the live! 

She dm me later on for my mailing address. When I got the package let me tell you the box alone smelled amazing and I hadn’t even opened it yet. The packaging was packaged very well because it was difficult to get into the box. I was grateful for it because I know my package was secure and nothing happened to in during shipping. Once I opened the box the scent waffled out in full force smelling so amazing. I immediately got my phone and started recording an unboxing of the product because this was something that needed to be seen and I couldn’t be happier to support a female black owned business.


Texture and Durability/Smellability  

The texture of the sugar scrub is not harsh and super coarse when you use it. It has just the right amount of coarse texture needed to feel it working when using it on your skin. My skin felt super soft after using it and the softness lasts all day. The smell is amazing and lasts all day. I was surprised how long the smell lasted. I figured it would be a few hours and it would wear off but no it literally lasted all day! I couldn't be happier with this product.

I posted my first blog post in some years just the other day. While I was going through my drafts I counted and I have 26 drafts of posts that I have not posted in the all the years I was blogging! At first I couldn’t believe I had so many posts just left there. Then I really thought about I know and understand why they were just left there. Some for reason of “being seen” and others for situations I was dealing with in my life. I didn’t want to start the blog post off with “I’m back!” Or “Yes, I know it been awhile…” I’ve done all of that before only to leave and not post for months or in this case years until now… all I can say is that I am here now.  I wanted to start this month off with easing back into blogging. Shea Moisture Shea Butter Vegan Lip Balm...Wait! Can We Talk?

Can we talk for a second? So, I just so happened to be on  Pinterest  and this picture of a lip balm crossed my screen. It was the  Shea Moisture Shea Butter Vegan Lip Balm  in Coconut & Hibiscus and African Water Mint & Ginger. Pause. I must get it... both flavors... I then check on Target & Walmart to see if I can get it in store. Yes, I can. I purchased it from my local Walmart and couldn't be any happier. Open it up apply it to my lips. What is that smell? The taste... What the heck is in this lip balm? Can I be honest for a second? I don't like it. Ok, don't get the pitch forks out just yet. I'm a Shea Moisture fanatic. Shea Moisture is always my go to, my wishlist, my it gets me every time Walgreen's has a bogo sale. But, here me out for a second. How A Setback Can Put You in Proper Alignment

I woke up with a cold sore last week Friday and I was filled with so many emotions none of which were happy. I was upset with the fact that I didn’t think the day prior was that stressful but my body told me otherwise. I was upset because that meant I let an event get to me that much that the stress caused this to happen. But, I hadn’t eaten the best that week I had been reminded that I had eaten McDonald’s twice that week (which is something I normally don’t do), my upcoming cycle didn’t help the situation either and the life event was just probably the icing on the cake.   I was disappointed to say the least but I had to sit with the thought of everything happens for a reason.
