I happened to be on Spence Taylor ’s live and he was talking about this woman he met at Essence Fest. He spoke about how they hit it off and became friends. He found out that she owned a body care brand when she stated that he needed to give her products a try. He said how he loved her products and would get complimented on his smell after using them. They had teamed up to do a giveaway of one of her new products that was launching soon. One winner from Facebook and one winner from Instagram. I followed the instructions and entered to win. Fashion Nova had a bogo (Buy one get one half off) sale on its demin. It was the perfect opportunity to get a new pair of jeans seeing how all my jeans and my youngest son were about the same age.The last pair of jeans I bought was from Forever 21 when they had a sale on their jeans and it was all skinny jeans. I wasn’t a big fan of skinny jeans at the time but I bought what my money could afford me seeing how all of my jeans had either had holes in the thighs or were ripping at the seams.   When I reflect on it I remember days trying to conceal the holes in my jeans with sitting with my legs crossed whenever we had to go into the conference rooms for meetings or I would just opt to stand up since that one time I sat down in a conference chair and my jeans ripped at the seam exposing my thigh from the inside seam of the jean. It got to a point that the 4 pair I had went down to 2 pairs and I would rotate each pair on alternating days so no one would notice I was wearing the same pair o

I woke up with a cold sore last week Friday and I was filled with so many emotions none of which were happy. I was upset with the fact that I didn’t think the day prior was that stressful but my body told me otherwise. I was upset because that meant I let an event get to me that much that the stress caused this to happen. But, I hadn’t eaten the best that week I had been reminded that I had eaten McDonald’s twice that week (which is something I normally don’t do), my upcoming cycle didn’t help the situation either and the life event was just probably the icing on the cake.   I was disappointed to say the least but I had to sit with the thought of everything happens for a reason. The longer I sat with it the more I thought about how I hadn’t been taking care of myself like I really should in a while now. I posted my first blog post in some years just the other day. While I was going through my drafts I counted and I have 26 drafts of posts that I have not posted in the all the years I was blogging! At first I couldn’t believe I had so many posts just left there. Then I really thought about I know and understand why they were just left there. Some for reason of “being seen” and others for situations I was dealing with in my life. I didn’t want to start the blog post off with “I’m back!” Or “Yes, I know it been awhile…” I’ve done all of that before only to leave and not post for months or in this case years until now… all I can say is that I am here now.  I wanted to start this month off with easing back into blogging. I want to get use to blogging again and do it with no pressure to post for the sake of posting. I enjoy writing and getting back into the swing of things will show me how much I missed the creative process. I’m unsure if I should use any of those old post at this point see
