Posted 100 videos on YouTube!

I reached a big milestone. Well, I think I did on YouTube. I posted my 100th video on there. I had shown one of my cousins my YouTube channel and she was like “Wow. You got a lot of videos.” I didn’t immediately respond like I heard her but I guess it didn’t register seeing how I had been doing YouTube off and on for about 6 years now. Repeating herself, “You got a lot of videos.” I nodded my head in acknowledgment of what she said and we all kept talking. She then stated “ You don’t understand that’s a big deal.” 

When I started my YouTube channel back up last year I already had 26 videos uploaded to the channel. I hadn’t realized how far I had came in a year until I posted my 100th video. I didn’t even realize it was my hundredth video until I went back to check my description box to make sure it was all correct and then I saw it. It was a quick glance I had to go back and look at it again to make sure I saw what I thought I saw. 100 video… my mouth fell open… like how did I almost miss this big milestone?! I was just working and posting and clearly wasn’t paying attention to the progress I had made. I told some of my family members and my friends. I sat there and thought about the conversation I had with my cousin that day and I was like “wow she was trying to tell me but it wasn’t registering to me.” I sent her a message and she responded “ I told you you had a lot of videos. Lol.” 


I sat with my thoughts for a little while longer like how should I celebrate? As the congratulations started to roll in one of my cousins asked me “Congratulations, how are you going to celebrate?” I told her I didn’t know and then I was wondering should I even celebrate the milestone? She stated “ You should really celebrate this milestone.” And she was right. Where I am at in my life currently I am all about celebrating each and every win no matter how small. So, why would I even down play this accomplishment? Well, I want to celebrate and I need ideas. I have no clue on what I should do. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Easing Back into Blogging

I posted my first blog post in some years just the other day. While I was going through my drafts I counted and I have 26 drafts of posts that I have not posted in the all the years I was blogging! At first I couldn’t believe I had so many posts just left there. Then I really thought about I know and understand why they were just left there. Some for reason of “being seen” and others for situations I was dealing with in my life. I didn’t want to start the blog post off with “I’m back!” Or “Yes, I know it been awhile…” I’ve done all of that before only to leave and not post for months or in this case years until now… all I can say is that I am here now.  I wanted to start this month off with easing back into blogging. I want to get use to blogging again and do it with no pressure to post for the sake of posting. Shea Moisture Shea Butter Vegan Lip Balm...Wait! Can We Talk?

Can we talk for a second? So, I just so happened to be on  Pinterest  and this picture of a lip balm crossed my screen. It was the  Shea Moisture Shea Butter Vegan Lip Balm  in Coconut & Hibiscus and African Water Mint & Ginger. Pause. I must get it... both flavors... I then check on Target & Walmart to see if I can get it in store. Yes, I can. I purchased it from my local Walmart and couldn't be any happier. Open it up apply it to my lips. What is that smell? The taste... What the heck is in this lip balm? Can I be honest for a second? I don't like it. Ok, don't get the pitch forks out just yet. I'm a Shea Moisture fanatic. Shea Moisture is always my go to, my wishlist, my it gets me every time Walgreen's has a bogo sale. But, here me out for a second. How A Setback Can Put You in Proper Alignment

I woke up with a cold sore last week Friday and I was filled with so many emotions none of which were happy. I was upset with the fact that I didn’t think the day prior was that stressful but my body told me otherwise. I was upset because that meant I let an event get to me that much that the stress caused this to happen. But, I hadn’t eaten the best that week I had been reminded that I had eaten McDonald’s twice that week (which is something I normally don’t do), my upcoming cycle didn’t help the situation either and the life event was just probably the icing on the cake.   I was disappointed to say the least but I had to sit with the thought of everything happens for a reason.
