My Skin Wow

I watched this Youtube video by Nikkimae2003 about her problem skin journey and a light came on! She stated that she uses all natural products in her hair which made her think about what she is putting on her face. For her she was using all the wrong products and makeup that caused her skin to break out even more than it actually helped. I realized that a lot of commercial grade products for beauty i.e. face wash, facial creams, lotions, soap, body washes, etc. has a lot of the same ingredients in them. So, if my face breaks out from hair products and they have the same ingredients in facial cleansers and creams my skin will break out from those products as well! Which also made me think that now I use cleansers and products for my hair that has all natural or close to all natural ingredients because the sulfates that are in commercial products causes my hair to dry out. So, if I am using natural products on my hair for better results why wouldn’t I do that with my skin! Now

Hey World Hey

Hey World Hey I feel like there is something you don’t like about yourself you should take a picture put it out for the world to see. Then it will make you want to make that change you have wanted to make but was to scared or lazy or procrastinating to do. So, I posted this picture on my social media the other day. I didn’t like it…why you ask? The bump that was on my skin! But, I felt like I wanted to show the world that I was back to my natural curly state and that bump was just going to have to be apart of it. I felt like it was now or never to make a change so I posted that picture curly hair, break out, and all. And that break out did get me some unwanted attention. My husbands’ aunt called me not to long after making a comment right after the post went up. She wanted to know what happened to my skin and she had never seen it like that before. She thought it was from the hair I was wearing during my protective style and that I shouldn’t use it anymore. I had to expl

Style Network bye bye...*tear

I don’t know how to feel about the Style Network transition to Esquire Network. Ok, I do…I don’t like it. You take a female dominant channel and turn it unto a male-centric channel. I don’t understand how a man is thinking that woman would be ok with it. Maybe he thinks that Sex and the City episodes at night would make us feel a little better. But, what happens to all the shows that we love to watch? Luckily, Tia & Tamera and Giuliana & Bill are going to E! but nothing has been said about the other displaced shows. Hopefully, these shows get renewed by E! so we can continue to watch our favorite shows. I am going to hold out hope that they do so I can continue to watch Tia & Tamera but I don’t know with E! loving the Kardashians the way they do. NBCUniversal are still trying to figure out where they are going to place the other shows from the Style Network. You can’t even go on the Style Network website anymore! It’s sad very sad it automatically goes to Esqui

Wash Your Face Before Bed

So, I went to a Mary Kay meeting this evening and had a facial done. Wanna know what I learned today. If you do not wash your face before you go to sleep you age the skin on your face by 14 days. Crazy right! And that's not saying you went to sleep with your make up on. Pretty sure that would be worse! That's just your face period point blank. So, now I know when I get a little lazy I need to wash my face before I go to bed no matter what. So, now it's time to take up better habits and routines so this becomes a common place thing. Night loves I need to go and wash my face before bed! Smooches!

Get it Started!

I couldn't wait to get my blog started! I figured I would get everything together just right by the way it looks but I think I finally realized that I was ready to write instead! Even though waiting to get everything together just right like the way I want it was the route that I was trying to take. Call me a little of a perfectionist. Okay not really but I just like things a certain way. Probably by the time you read this I would have already gotten the Cita blog just the way I wanted it. Guess it's time to introduce myself. Hi, I'm Cita. My age (we'll talk about that later!) ok... I'm 29, my relationship status is married (so... sorry fellas), and I currently do not have any kids but my baby is my sweet Fox Terrier and Rat Terrier mix Pixie. My mission and purpose for this blog is to express my enthusiasm and curiosity for health, fitness, fashion, and beauty. I am on a journey for a better me and I hope you enjoy the process.
